Energy Policy
At O2energies, we believe removing regulatory barriers, and creating an energy policy that promotes clean energy generation is critical to the long term success of our business and the creation of a renewable energy industry in our home state of North Carolina.

In March of 2009, O2energies managing director, Olee Joel Olsen, worked closely with legislators and the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association to have the first Renewable Energy Feed in Rate legislation introduced in North Carolina.

This bill was converted to a study bill in August of 2009 and much work remains to be done to educate rate payer groups, legislators, regulators, utilities and the governor’s office about how and why the Feed in Rate bill could be the fastest and most efficient way to grow the renewable energy industry in North Carolina.

O2energies works together with business and non-profit organizations to educate professional, governmental and political stakeholders about changes needed in state energy policy that will result in job creation, economic development and the growth of a new industry.
